CZR was contracted by Peterson, Eure and Associates, P.A. to conduct a survey for SAV using a modified NCDMF-accepted methodology used by CZR at Sandy Point, Chowan County, NC. The purpose of the survey was to document the presence or absence of SAV within an area planned for a potential pier, approximately 200 feet long and 5 feet wide. Data for the survey can be used to avoid and/or minimize potential disturbance to SAV.

CZR was contracted by NCDENR to replicate a survey for SAV performed by Quible & Associates, P.C.. The purpose of the surveys was to document the presence or absence of SAV within and adjacent to the proposed channels. Approximately 19,040 linear feet were surveyed for SAV using tactile and visual techniques. Four species of SAV and one alga were observed in the three proposed channels and adjacent areas surveyed.
