CZR owns and regularly utilizes four Trimble sub-meter accuracy GPS downloadable units which interface with in-house data conversion and GIS mapping hardware and software. We maintain a full-service graphics department in-house, employing AutoCAD and ArcVIEW for GIS products.
CZR recently completed a project as sub-consultant to a contractor for the South Florida Water Management District in which a specific GIS database was established for the inventory and mapping of submerged aquatic vegetation and shellfish in the St. Lucie Estuary, Martin County, Florida. The study was part of a baseline and historical analysis of the estuary prior to developing restoration plans. CZR employed a Trimble Global Positioning System (GPS) and laptop computer with an interface to the GPS for real time field entry data into Pathfinder database software amd mapping boundary locations. Approximately 2,000 data entry points were collected in the field and managed for analysis features.
