Federal and state laws govern work in wetlands, and project planners need to know where the wetlands are and how big they are so they can comply with these regulations. CZR’s certified wetland delineators follow procedures described in the 1987 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetlands Delineation Manual. Our delineators use their training and experience in field botany, soil science, hydrology and sampling procedures, as well as the federally-approved wetland delineation methods, to determine and document where the wetland lines are.
A wetland delineation report, usually consisting of written descriptions and photographs, map(s) of the wetland boundaries and supporting data sheets, can then be submitted to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for review and approval.
