CZR surveyed 32 miles of estuarine shoreline to a depth of 8 feet covering 5,600 acres. Substrates were categorized and mapped using 25 attributes. Oysters, shellfish, and seagrasses were sampled, classified, and mapped using GPS interfaces with GIS software to compile over 2,000 data points. The GIS coverage analysis provides managers with a critical link for development of watershed management for the St. Lucie Estuary.
